FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Raleigh, North Carolina, August 5, 2002. The first ASTM D13.66--3D Body Scanning Task Group meeting will be held September 12-14, 2002, at the College of Textiles at North Carolina State University. The goal of this meeting will be to discuss and develop ways to integrate 3D Body Scanning technologies for the benefit of the Textile and Apparel industries and E-commerce. We invite the participation of technology developers, industry practitioners and executives, academicians, and consultants.
The work of the task group meeting will be divided into three major areas of interest:
Thursday, Sept. 12-Semantics and syntax related to 3D Scanning Systems
Friday, Sept. 13-Integration of 3D data into Apparel CAD Systems
Saturday, Sept. 14-Integration of 3D data with Virtual Design, Modeling, and Animation Systems
You are invited to attend any or all of the days of the meetings.
