Graduation Procedures

Planning to Graduate? Procedures to Follow:

What To Do

In order to graduate, you must make a visit to the Academic Programs Office, room 3408, and fill out a Graduation Application (the famous BLUE card).

When To Do It

You MUST fill out this application the semester before you plan to graduate. Ex. If you plan to graduate in May, this application must be filled out in the Fall Semester before.  Take note of the following dates:

To graduate in May or in the Summer, you must fill out your Graduation Application by Oct. 15 of the previous Fall Semester.

To graduate in December, you must fill out your Graduation Application by Feb. 15 of the previous Spring Semester.

Questions About Graduation

Anyone in the Academic Programs Office (3408) can answer your questions about this procedure.

Graduation Ceremonies, Invitations, Times, Etc.

  • The College of Textiles Ceremony is after the campus wide graduation on the day of graduation.
  • Usually, in December the College of Textiles Ceremony is held at 1:30 am in the Atrium.  In May, the ceremony is usually at 1:30 pm outside at the fountain area.

These times will be confirmed closer to the actual date.  You can check with someone in Academic Programs or Student Services.

  • You will need to check in the Academic Programs Office (3408) to be certain your name is spelled correctly on the College of Textiles graduation program, that your degree is correct, and that any minors or double majors are correct.  You should do this by December 1 for December graduation and by April 15 for May graduation.
  • For all other information, you need to check the Registration and Records website here.  Registration and Records is the place to ask questions about the overall graduation process.  This office will send you information in the mail.
