Transferring Credits From Another School

If you are interested, please check at the following web site and you can determine what will transfer from many community colleges, four year colleges and other universities for yourself. You must request that a transcript be sent from the school you attend to the NC State admissions office.

In many cases, you will see that a course at NC State is exactly "equal" to a course at another school. When this happens, there is not a problem with transferring the credit as long as the course will work in your degree.

Sometimes you will see that a course at another school is not exactly equal to a course here. This is denoted by an abbreviation such as HI ***, MA 1**, etc. Such courses may still be transferred ONLY IF you obtain permission before taking the course.
