Transferring Into the College of Textiles


  1. To be eligible to transfer into the College of Textiles, students who are currently enrolled at North Carolina State University must have at least a 2.0 grade point average.  Students transferring from other universities or colleges will need a 2.3 grade point average for automatic acceptance and must have completed at least 12 credits .  Acceptance into specific degree programs may be affected by the number of spaces available in the program. 
  2. Any student wishing to transfer into the College of Textiles must have completed MA 131 or MA 141, CH 101, and CH 102 or the equivalent of these courses or have permission from the Director of Advising in the College of Textiles.
  3. Before transferring into the College of Textiles, students are required to talk to the Director of Advising or someone in the Academic Programs office about their transfer. This discussion can take place by phone.

  4. North Carolina State University students wishing to transfer into the College of Textiles may do so at any time during the semester. Call the Academic Programs Office at 515 6627 for assistance.
