Why is the College of Textiles special? The College of Textiles provided me with all of the tools necessary to market myself to a successful textile company. The College has cutting edge facilities and offers an abundance of educational paths which allowed me to work towards the career of my choice.

Current Responsibilities: Coordinate the color development process from the design stage through to sales and merchandising. Work with color standard suppliers to ensure consistency. Provide manufacturing standards to domestic and international liaison offices and licensees.

Career Path: Went directly to grad school after completing my BS in TT. Upon completion of my MS degree I worked for Performance Technologies, Inc doing software tech support for 9 mos. before moving to Portland, OR and approaching Columbia Sportswear for work.

What is your work environment like? My work environment is extremely relaxed, with an emphasis on self direction. Co-workers are all very professional. The atmosphere is such that I actually look forward to coming to work everyday.
