Why is the College of Textiles special? As the premier textile college in the United States, NCSU is able to offer an education second to none. The College of Textiles state-of-the-art facilities afford students an opportunity to continually learn and work on the cutting edge of the textiles industry.  
     
Current Responsibilities: Develop contractual sales obligations with corporate, mid-market, and healthcare clients for the Contract Carpet Business of Milliken & Company. Devise and implement regional sales strategy for the purpose of increasing market share and improving corporate visibility. Promote corporate image and client support throughout the region through use of various multi-media demonstrations, luncheons, and other social engagements.  
     
Career Path: The first year after college I worked for the College of Textiles as a recruiter. Not too long after I started recruiting Milliken approached me for the sales position in NC. After completing my tenure with the university I began my career with Milliken.  
     
What is your work environment like? As a territory manager for Milliken, I work in a high-energy sales environment with a variety of individuals. Although a high level of individual effort is required, cooperation and teamwork with co-workers and clients is critical to the success of the job.
