Support the College of Textiles by Joining the
NC State Alumni Association

by Johnny Burleson ‘95, Textile Management

Director of Business Relations and Marketing, NC State Alumni Association

Johnny_Burleson@ncsu.edu

                As an alumnus of the College of Textiles, I am proud of our alma mater. Building on a tradition of initiative and ingenuity, NC State today stands on the verge of becoming one of the nation’s elite research universities. The College of Textiles, too, has distinguished itself as the lead institution for textile education, research and outreach.

                Strong alumni involvement and support are key ingredients in the university’s continued success.  The Alumni Association makes it easy to get involved and to help the College of Textiles. When textiles alumni join the NC State Alumni Association, 10 percent of their new member dues ($40 for an individual, $50 for a couple) go directly to the college.

                Members have the satisfaction of identifying themselves as stakeholders in the future of NC State and the College of Textiles. They help recruit tomorrow’s students, support scholarships and ensure NC State’s future as the top research university in the nation. They have access to an extensive alumni network that reaches into every North Carolina county and many cities across the nation. And they have countless other opportunities to connect with their alma mater and fellow alumni through expanded programs, publications and services.

Member benefits include:

* a year’s subscription to NC State, the alumni magazine;

* a membership pin;

* an exclusive NC State calendar;

* a monthly e-mail newsletter;

* discounts for Alumni Association-sponsored events and merchandise;

* rental car discounts with Enterprise;

* discounts with the North Carolina Theatre’

* golf discounts;

* worldwide travel opportunities; and most importantly

* the ability to get involved in the life of NC State

                For a comprehensive list of membership benefits, see the Alumni Association Web site at http://www.alumni.ncsu.edu/join/index.html. You can visit our secure server and join online at https://www.acs.ncsu.edu/scripts/Advance/alumni.pl.  Indicate in the degree box of the on-line application form that you were “solicited by College of Textiles.” If you have questions, contact me at Johnny_Burleson@ncsu.edu or 800.627.2586 or Emily Parker at the College of Textiles at 919.515.6529.

                We at the Alumni Association want NC State to have a place in the lives of all alumni, and we want all alumni to have a place in the life of the university. It’s about creating an NC State family that communicates, connects and cares.
