The Textile Innovation Center is projected to open in Spring 2003. It will be adjacent to the College of Textiles at the intersection of Main Campus Drive and Research Drive. So just what is the Textile Innovation Center? It is a building that will bring the textile industry to the College of Textiles backdoor. The building is a joint development among the Centennial Campus Partnership office, Craig Davis Properties and the College of Textiles. They are currently seeking companies that are interested in moving into this building.

So why move to Centennial Campus and be housed right beside the College of Textiles? The NC State University College of Textiles is emerging into "a new world of textiles." We are at the forefront of new innovations and ground breaking technologies in the textile field. Our faculty and researchers
are always striving for the next level in new technology. We are on Centennial Campus, therefore we are a part of a campus that incorporates university, industry and government partners in a unique environment.

The world of textiles is always changing with new technologies that are exciting, challenging and vary in a wide array of subjects. The College of Textiles offers the chance to partner with faculty and students to solve problems and work as a team for the betterment of the industry on a local level and internationally.
