FACULTY POSITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT:
Textile Brand Management and Marketing

POSITION DESCRIPTION:                
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and developing and
maintaining a quality research program in the area of textile brand management and marketing.  Industry experience is preferred, with the desire to work closely with personnel in the global textile complex.  Topics of particular interest to the program include:

  • Textile brand management and marketing
  • Merchandising
  • Consumer behavior
  • International retailing
  • International textile trade
  • Textile and apparel industry analysis

Faculty rank may be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending upon qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:    
Candidates must have a PhD in textile technology management, textile marketing, merchandising or a closely aligned field including business.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE             
The College of Textiles at North Carolina State University is a modern facility housing state of the art research and prototyping labs. New labs and facilities continue to be added such as a management science lab, fashion studio, digital design lab, body scanning, digital printing, color science lab, 3D weaving, electrospinning, filament extrusion, and nonwovens.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT             
The Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management educates undergraduate and graduate students for careers in the fiber, textile, fashion, and retail complex. Degrees awarded include the BS degree in Fashion and Textile Management, BS degree in Textile  Technology, the MS in Textiles and College-wide PhD’s in Fiber and Polymer Science and Textile Technology Management.
