The purpose of the Advanced Medical Technologies (AMT) consortium is to enhance innovation and accelerate commercialization by providing a collaborative development environment for North Carolina's academia, industry, nonprofits and government. This rich environment fosters the exchange of ideas through networking and educational opportunities, and provides access to the wealth of technology, information, expertise and facilities in the NC medical technologies value system. By partnering with local and regional economic developers, the AMT consortium assists with branding and recruitment initiatives to further strengthen the value system.

The AMT consortium is hosting a symposium, The Innovation Environment at NC STATE, on July 23, 2008. FREE breakfast will provide an excellent networking opportunity for attendees. The new AMT@NC STATE website - a foundational component of the innovation environment - will be launched at the symposium, and attendees can provide valuable feedback using an interactive audience response system. The industry-focused website features:
