WebCT Vista: Copying a Course Section

Follow the directions below when you need to base a new WebCT Vista course section on an existing Vista course section.
For example, if you had a WebCT Vista course section last semester and simply want to "bring it back to life", you may simply copy the content from the old WebCT Vista course section into a new Vista section in a few simple steps.

1. Login at http://vista.ncsu.edu/index.php
2. Click on the link for your new WebCT Vista course section from the list of courses in My WebCT
3. If this is your first time entering the new Vista section, you will be prompted to choose one of the following options:

   Choose "Copy content from another course" and click "Continue"

   

4. Select the radio button to the left of the (old) WebCT Vista section from which you would like to base your new Vista section and click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.
5. You will now see a progress bar as WebCT Vista copies the content from your old section into the new section.

   

Once the Vista section is finished copying, you will be taken directly to your newly created section.

Remember to make any necessary changes, such as replacing your syllabus with an updated version etc. as the older content has been copied into your new Vista section.
