Research activities in the department encompass areas of fiber, textile, apparel, and retail complex. The current annual research budget of the department is funded by industrial and governmental sources. Research activities are diverse and vary from the structure of fibers to fashion and branding to economic competitiveness of the global complex. Our graduate students play a very important role in research and many work on these projects as research assistants.
