Current PCC Students
Reid Clonts
Reid is from Lexington, South Carolina, and is a senior majoring in
both Polymer and Color Chemistry and Chemistry.
She has performed undergraduate research in a revolutionary
approach to dyeing fibers that uses supercritical fluid carbon
dioxide in place of water, and has interned at Milliken & Co.
Reid intends to go to graduate school to study polymer chemistry.
Robert Smith
Robert hails from Charlotte,
North Carolina, and is a senior
majoring in Polymer and
Color Chemistry, and
works in undergraduate
research in the synthesis of
new dyes with inherent water
repellency for fibers. He
has interned at Burlington Industries
and will be working full-time for Dyadic International, Inc. using
enzymes on textile fabrics.
Jeff Peet
Jeff is originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and is a senior
double majoring in Polymer and Color Chemistry and Materials Science and
Engineering. In addition to being a leader in the University Honors
Program, Jeff has been involved in polymer blending research since he
was a freshman, studied abroad, and interned with Milliken & Co. Jeff is
planning on going to graduate school after he graduates to study the
formation of conductive polymers.
