Kelly Higgins, a senior double majoring in Polymer and Color Chemistry and Chemistry, received notice of acceptance to the School of Dentistry at University of North Carolina for fall 2008. This type of achievement exemplifies the options available to graduates of the Polymer and Color Chemistry program.

When asked what she likes about the Polymer and Color Chemistry program, Kelly’s response was: “Studying Polymer and Color Chemistry gave me a great insight on how chemistry really applies to my everyday life. I have found that a major in PCC is really diverse and opens so many opportunities with career choices. The best thing about being part of the College of Textiles is the welcoming atmosphere. All of the teachers are so supportive and easy to approach. The friendly staff is always offering help which makes this large university feel much more personable.”
Robert Bryan Ormond, Polymer and Color Chemistry, Class of 2007, received the AATCC Outstanding College Graduate of the Year award on October 4th at AATCC 2007 International Conference & Exhibition in Charleston, South Carolina. The winner is selected based on academic achievement, service to the school, service to the student chapter of AATCC, and character.
