Learn How to Improve Color Matching and
Reduce Waste in Dyeing Processes

TexED has added a new course to the catalog titled A Six Sigma Approach to Dyeing. Dyeing is a complex and time consuming process with a small margin of error in the final product. One problem faced by many dyers is achieving target shades on the first try and consistently repeating shades from batch to batch.

This new approach to dyeing incorporates a systematic framework to identify and solve problems related to dyeing. A Six Sigma Approach to Dyeing will teach you the design, measurement and analysis techniques needed to achieve right-first-time dyeing and achieve quicker correlation with shade matching and overall production optimization. By realizing the difficulties that dyers have in producing correct shades, lab managers, suppliers, and designers will have a better understanding on how to solve this age old problem.

This course will be held at the College of Textiles at NC State University Tuesday, July 31 - Friday, August 3, 2012.
