Fabric Testing Equipment

The Physical Testing Lab of the College of Textiles performs a variety of fabric tests and analyses. Equipment capabilities include testing for abrasion and pilling resistance, snag resistance, fabric stiffness, air permeability, burst strength, color fastness, water repellency and resistance, and smoothness appearance, as well as construction analysis and tensile and tear strength (see General Testing Equipment).
