Personal Computer Support

We provide numerous ways for you to work from home. We have a VPN that allows you to map drives from home. You can also check your email using Gmail at NC State. In addition, can also access your H drive by going to http://www.tx.ncsu.edu/hdrive.

As far as software and hardware, we do not provide any support for home or personally owned computers (note the exception of student owned computers). Please refer to this page for futher information. OIT Support Page

Surplus Computers

We do not support any computers bought at surplus. This includes computers bought with the intention of bringing it back for research purposes. The only computers that will receive a network connection, hardware and software support are those bought from University accounts.
