Call for Papers

JTATM seeks submissions for refereed articles. These should provide new understanding about the technology and management of fibers, textiles, manufacturers, retailers, as well as the environment and markets in which textile and apparel companies operate and evolve.

TATM Graduate Corner

TATM offers postgraduate education programs leading to Masters degrees, which are either thesis based (MS) or non-thesis (MT). TATM faculty are also very actively involved in Ph.D. programs in Textile Technology & Management and Fiber and Polymer Science. Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center

NCRC is pleased to announce the opening of registration for for the following Professional Education Courses:

"Nonwovens Principles & Practice"
Jan13-17, 2003

This workshop will introduce you to the concepts and practice of basic manufacturing processes including raw material selection, web formation, bonding technologies and finishing as well as product design and performance testing. There will be an opportunity for the participants to work with different processes during the hands-on sessions of the course.

Hydroentanglement
February 18-19, 2003

This workshop will introduce you to the concepts and practice of hydroentanglement process including raw material selection and product design.There will be an opportunity for the participants to see hydroentanglement during the hands-on sessions of the course. The combination of instruction and laboratory sessions will provide attendees with a better understanding of the concepts in both manufacturing and testing.

Fundamentals of Spunbond & Meltblowing
April 22-24, 2003

This workshop will introduce you to the concepts and practice of melt spinning as well as spunbond and meltblowing processes, including raw material selection, web formation, bonding technologies and finishing as well as product design and performance testing.
There will be an opportunity for the participants to see different processes during the hands-on sessions of the course. The combination of instruction and laboratory sessions will provide attendees with a better understanding of the concepts in both manufacturing and testing.

Textile Off-campus Programs (TOP)

The NC State University Textile Off-campus Programs (TOP) program is a distance education program designed to provide textile undergraduate and graduate courses to any individual seeking an improved textiles education or background (credit or audit). The present delivery system is predominantly video tape, but the use of interactive CDs and on-line delivery will shortly be available for a number of course offerings. Certification and master's degrees in textiles can be obtained via TOP without a residence requirement.
