Textile and Apparel Management
(TAM) The undergraduate program in Textile and Apparel Management is designed to prepare students for careers in textile and apparel marketing and merchandising, design and product development, and sourcing. Capitalizing on our North Carolina location, students majoring in textile and apparel management study these topics:
Students experience “hands-on” learning with faculty and industry by learning key concepts AND developing creative textile products, marketing and global sourcing plans for these products, discussing strategies with industry and government personnel, and completing industry internships. Study abroad experiences are encouraged for students in this program to broaden their understanding of diverse cultures as well as strengthen their understanding of the global textile complex. Graduates
of this program are working in key management positions in industry --
the fiber/yarn, mill products, apparel manufacturing and marketing,
retail… as well as consulting firms. A few of the companies include:
