NC State College of Textiles Open House

The NCSU College of Textiles Open House was held on Saturday, February 7th, 2004, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The College of Textiles, located on NC State's Centennial Campus, is home to the most modern, state-of-art textile classrooms and laboratories in the United States. Throughout the day, tours and demonstrations were conducted including the latest in Apparel Design and Production, Textile Design, Body Scanning and Measurement, Fabric Comfort, Digital Printing, Yarn Spinning, Weaving, Whole Garment Knitting, Dyeing and Finishing, and Fabric Engineering, and Management, Marketing, and Merchandising opportunities.

Attendees were be able to learn more about admission to NC State, undergraduate and graduate textile degree programs, scholarship and career opportunities, the state of the textile industry, and other specialty areas such as the Eli Whitney International Scholars Program, the Anni Albers Design Scholars Program and the new Medical Textiles Program.
