Textile Design Using Photoshop

Ellen Oster

Textile Design using Photoshop, by Ellen Oster, is a 100 page workbook filled with easy to follow, step-by-step tutorials on common challenges a designer might face working with pattern design swatches, stripes, plaids and product development/merchandising. Creating and saving seasonal color palettes, recoloring design swatches, creating and storing multiple color ways, and putting design swatches into simple straight or complex half-drop repeats are demonstrated. Pattern fill techniques for flat sketches and a fast simulated texture mapping technique is shown as well.

These tools will give the Product Developer/Merchandiser, Textile and Fashion Designer clear steps for producing merchandising presentations for both in-house evaluations and for merchandising books for their sales staff.
