The College of Textiles at NC State University will host the 5th Annual Research Open House, Tuesday, April 17, 2007, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, College of Textiles, Centennial Campus. The 2007 Research Open House at the College of Textiles provides an excellent opportunity to view a sampling of MS and PhD level research programs undertaken by our graduate students in close collaborations with their faculty advisers. In addition, seniors in the Senior Collection Studio will be displaying product designs in the Atrium, with a Fashion Show at 5:00 p.m. Textile and Apparel Management students will be showcasing research projects focusing on textile marketing and branding.

Our program agenda includes faculty presentations, a poster session covering graduate research, and a tour of key College facilities. We also regard the Research Open House as an opportunity to develop ideas for new collaborative programs with our industry friends and for attendees to provide feedback concerning the perceived value of our programs. Directions to the College can be found at http://www.tx.ncsu.edu:80/research_industry/open_house/.

The day’s events will begin in Room #2431 with brief presentations by Dean Blanton Godfrey, following by select College faculty members. Graduate student poster sessions (Convocation Center) and undergraduate presentations in the Atrium will showcase student research experiences. Lunch in the Atrium provides an excellent opportunity for industry, government and academic personnel to dialogue about research interests and initiatives. All guests are invited to tour the College facility following lunch and stay for the Fashion Show at 5:00 p.m.
