The fee for a key is $30. A new key can be obtained throughout the year and the fee is good until the next January regardless of when you get it throughout the year. In addition, there is a one time key deposit of $5 (for a total of $35 for new members). Keys are available from Shawn Dunning. His campus box is 8301. Turn in your old key each year when you get your new key. Keyholders are asked to sign a user agreement each year when they get a new key. The user agreement confirms that you have read and understand the "User Guidelines". It is best to call ahead of time to make arrangements to get a key. If you would like to get a key through the campus mail, please download the Adobe PDF file of the "User agreement", fill it out and mail it with a check for $30, an envelope with your campus address and your old key (or $35 and no key). Make the checks out to Key Haven.
To download the user agreement, you will need the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer. You can download this free program from http://www.adobe.com .
If you would like to see a map to Shawn's Office Room 2213, College of Textiles, you can download a copy here.
Members who have a key:
To prohibit undue stress on our lock, please fasten as shown in image
one below. Try to avoid fastening the gate using the incorrect method
shown in Picture 2 and Picture 3. Also, when locking the chain, be sure
to pull the chain tightly so vehicles are unable to drive underneath if
raised. Three attachments describe the right/wrong ways of locking.
Picture 1- (RIGHT_WAY_TO_LOCK).

The bail of the lock rests on the eye bolt/hook. This puts all stress
on the bail (which is a good thing). This is the preferred way to lock
the gate.
Picture 2- (WrongWay).

Undue stress on the lock.
Picture 3 (WrongWay2).

Self explanatory!
