Dr. Jeffrey A. Joines
Jeffrey A. Joines is an Associate Professor in the Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science Department at NC State University and currently serves as the Associate Department head. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1990, a M.S in Industrial Engineering in 1990 and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering in 1996, all from NC State University. In 1977, he received the Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He also was awarded the 2006 NC State University Outstanding Teaching Award. Dr. Joines has been building object-oriented simulation languages since the early 1990s and applying these to manufacturing, supply chain, scheduling and health care problems.
