Wayland E. Parker

Wayland E. Parker is a Senior Lean Six Sigma professional that has been supporting the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller, functioning as a Master Black Belt for the past two years as part of largest Lean Six Sigma program deployment in history. Wayland has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Virginia Military Institute, a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Quantitative Analysis for the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the National War College. He has been a practicing Operations Research Systems Analyst in the Army for over twenty years, a certified strategic planner, Army Malcolm Baldridge examiner, and the thought-lead and initial Deployment Director of the LSS program for the North Carolina National Guard. He is currently the owner and CEO of American Management Professionals LLC, which provides strategic planning, Lean Six Sigma, and business intelligence consulting services to a variety of public and private sector clients. Wayland is also a retired Colonel in the United States Army with 30 years of active duty service. During his time with the Army he received many service awards including The Bronze Star for Service in Afghanistan.
