Dr. Lori Rothenberg
Lori Rothenberg, Ph.D. is the Associate Director, Extension Education and Quality Programs, of Textiles Extension Education for Economic Development within the College of Textiles. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in 1986 and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991.
Prior to joining NC State University, Lori provided analytical training and consulting to a variety of industries including government agencies, and the healthcare, automotive, financial, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries. In addition to her training and consulting work, Lori has experience in psychometrics and served as the program manager for an international software certification program.
With 18 years of experience in applied statistics and program evaluation, Lori brings great breadth and depth of knowledge to the classroom, where she teaches and coaches Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts, Green Belts, Black Belts and Master Black Belt candidates at NC State University.
In addition to her Lean Six Sigma teaching, Lori is a faculty member in the College of Textiles, collaborating on grant proposals and serving as program evaluator for the projects. She has written numerous applied publications on evaluation issues and has received several grants, including a National Science Foundation grant for the evaluation of a science curriculum initiative in Detroit Public Schools.
