Margaret
O'Brien
Director, Extension Services
Margaret's current activities include designing curriculum and
teaching
team-based skills in both the Six Sigma Black Belt and Green
Belt
programs offered in partnership with the College of Textiles.
She serves
as champion for project teams in IES. She was the 2004-05 advisor
for
the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Student Branch at NC State,
and
also serves on the Board for the Section 1113 ASQ in Raleigh.
She served
as co-chair of the 2005 NC Conference for Excellence, and is
currently
serving as Director of the 2006 Conference. She recently received
national recognition as an outstanding executive and business
leader,
and was inducted into the NC State Academy for Outstanding Extension
Faculty. Her latest curriculum design focuses on Training the
Trainer
for Six Sigma and will be released as a new course in fall 2006.
