This program offers the exceptional students an opportunity
to explore areas of special interest with exposure to various
forms of research or independent study. Students of high academic
level, after their first one or two years of studies, are invited
to participate in the honors program. Special lectures, discussion
groups and seminars in the freshman and sophomore years introduce
the possibilities for future development in the honors program.
Additional advising is available and recommended because the
degree programs can be altered to fit the students needs more
specifically. Honors sections and graduate level classes are
open to these students. In an area of special interest the
College of Textiles honor student will conduct a literature
review and conduct an honors research project. The honors project
ranges from a scholarly review of a special topic to a discussion
of an experimental research problem.
