The Delegates joined a Delegation of business people also being introduced to international trade. During the trip to Mexico the Delegates attended EXINTEX, an International Textile Trade Show, in which they participated in marketing North Carolina Textile products.

The Delegates also visited with US and Mexican business and trade leaders including the US Commercial Foreign Services officers, the American Chamber of Commerce officials, NC International Trade officials and other business executives involved in international trade. Tours of manufacturing plants
including Volkswagen's state of the art facility in Puebla, Mexico were a part of the itinerary as well as cultural events including the world renown Folkloric Ballet and the Mexican Pyramids.

Upon return the Delegates had a hands on experience and better understanding of international trade.
