Surface Test

Surface Tester

The surface properties of friction (resistance/drag) and surface contour (roughness) were determined using the KES-FB4 Surface Tester. A tension load of 20 gf/cm is applied to the sample in the standard test.

MIU - coefficient of friction, 0 to 1 value
Higher MIU value corresponds to greater friction or resistance and drag.
SMD - geometric roughness, micron
Higher SMD corresponds to geometrically rougher surface.
