"T-PACC facilities provide unprecedented opportunities for faculty and students to do research in many areas of textile comfort and protection. We provide the tools needed to scientifically investigate the often complex technical challenges involved in developing materials and clothing with enhanced comfort or protective performance. The comprehensive nature of capabilities provided at T-PACC make the Center a unique service resource for the textile and apparel industries.

T-PACC is the missing tool that can tell the U.S. textile producer if their efforts have the potential of improving comfort while still at the research and development stage. Comfort performance has obvious importance for many end-uses, from ordinary clothing to specialized medical or sports apparel. For protective clothing applications, T-PACC's integrated and synergistic research approach may be the only way to define the optimum balance between protection and wearer comfort.

T-PACC provides many different opportunities for collaborated research that can be tailored to fit the needs of the industry. Producers and consumers of fibers, yarn, fabric and textile end products, including the apparel, nonwoven, automotive, aerospace, medical, sports, industrial, technical and special niche textile industries will benefit from T-PACC's research capabilities."
