The TPACC Barrier Fabrics Laboratory has innovative equipment for research in the following areas:

• Biological hazards, medical pathogenic barrier testing using escherichia coli and Phi X 174 bacteriophage,
• Chemical hazards, penetration and permeation of potentially toxic chemical liquids and gases,and
• Aerosol and particulate hazards, filtration and transmission of particulates and aerosols.
• Supporting analytical laboratories provide TPACC scientists with the ability to study aerosol capture and chemical permeation mechanisms.
