T-PACC's
singular ability to analyze virtually all comfort and protective
properties of fabrics, and to study full-scale garments, comprises
a powerful research tool. This tool is at the disposal of the
textile industry so that an experimental product can be assessed
objectively, early in the development process.
T-PACC provides
opportunities for collaborative research utilizing the described
facilities and expertise in a number of ways to service the textile
and apparel industries. Programs can be developed for graduate
research tackling fundamental issues or for short-term projects.
Dr.
Roger L. Barker, director of the NCSU College of Textiles, Textile Protection
and Comfort Center, or his associates, will be pleased to provide
additional information on research opportunities or specifics
on programs and procedures. Please fill out our more
information page or go to our contact
T-PACC page so that we may contact
you.
In cooperation
with other laboratories within the College of Textiles and across
the NCSU campus numerous other factors effecting comfort and
protection can be analyzed. Factors such as laundering, finishing,
durability, fibers, and degradation issues can be studied. We
can help determine if these related factors should be a part
of your testing or research objective.
